Refund & rescheduling policy
This policy applies to deposits and fees for financial auditing engagements with Blue Ledger Audit Atelier. It does not cover products, subscriptions, or physical goods we do not sell.
Eligibility
Refunds relate to planning deposits and progress billings under a signed engagement letter. Website inquiries alone create no charge.
Timeframe
Refund requests should be emailed to hello@platform-securityio.digital within fourteen days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, cancellation before fieldwork or a scope reduction agreed in writing).
Full or partial refunds
If you cancel in writing before planning work begins, the planning deposit is refundable in full minus any bank transfer fees we incur. If planning or fieldwork has started, we refund the unused portion after deducting time already spent at the rates in the engagement letter.
Non-refundable items
Fees for completed inventory observation days, issued interim review reports, and final statutory audit opinions already delivered are not refundable. Third-party confirmation fees already paid to banks or agents are non-refundable.
Process
Email your engagement letter reference, the reason for the request, and the preferred refund method matching the original payment. We confirm receipt within five business days and state the calculated amount.
Processing time & method
Approved refunds are returned within twenty business days by bank transfer to the account that paid the invoice, unless another method is required by law.
Cancellation & rescheduling
You may request to reschedule fieldwork once without penalty if notice arrives at least ten business days before the agreed start. Later changes may incur a rescheduling fee reflecting staff already allocated. We may cancel for independence conflicts or unpaid deposits; in those cases unused fees are refunded as above.
Deposits, no-shows & work already started
A planning deposit secures the fieldwork window. If client personnel are unavailable on agreed observation or fieldwork days without timely notice (a no-show), that day’s fee remains payable. Work already started — planning memos, confirmation mailings, or testing — is billed even if the engagement later pauses.
Materials
We do not sell kits or physical materials. Any third-party courier or specialist valuation costs authorized by you are billed at cost and are non-refundable once incurred.
Exceptions
Mandatory cooling-off or consumer rules under Japanese law, where applicable to the paying party, take precedence over this policy. Engagement-letter clauses that are more specific to your audit also prevail for that engagement.
